Seven-year-old Beckett Black is from Encinitas, California. Born with fibular hemimelia (a limb deficiency) he became a challenged athlete at age two and has never looked back. He prides himself for his prosthetic foot that has rendered him a superhero (in the eyes of his parents, anyway).
Each year Beckett raises money for the challenged athletes foundation with the help of his friends, family & parents to support other athletes with challenges like himself. People with challenges should have an active and healthy lifestyle and should be able to participate in the thrill of sports. Currently, Beckett spends his days in a second grade Spanish immersion class. By night he plays baseball on his local team, the marauders, or basketball in his driveway.
And oh yeah, he’s a triplet!
